Julia Howe

My name is Julia Howe. I’m an ideas and words person, and an award-winning advertising copywriter and scriptwriter with more than 20 years of experience across multiple sectors.

My USP:

My training at the School of Communication Arts, and extensive writing background, means that I’m conceptual and strategic, and not simply a writer who fills in the blanks. I grasp the essence of each communications challenge quickly, and can help advise you on the best approach for your marketing strategy.

What I offer:

My specialisms include advertising concepts, direct mail, press ads, posters, radio ads, social media and online advertising. After interrogating the brief, I produce all types of written material, from banners and viral marketing, to TV, film and animation scripts, brochures, catalogues and flyers.

If you’re looking for more straight-forward editorial assistance, I can proof-read and sub-edit your copy to help you optimise your content. Alternatively, I can write original copy from scratch or refresh your existing content. Committed to producing the best work, I check and double-check my copy every time.

My approach:

I’m equally happy working on my own; or in close collaboration with a creative director, art director or designer, as well as in larger, multi-disciplinary teams of software developers and project managers. I set high standards for myself and never compromise on quality.

A typical project begins by discussing the brief either face-to-face or over skype, email or by phone. We would then agree on deadlines and budget, any source content, and if appropriate, set milestones for delivery.
